The word DOULA refers to a woman experienced in childbirth who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to a woman before, during and after childbirth.

Doulas create a calm, positive and safe environment for a birthing woman and her partner; we offer suggestions for relaxation, positioning and breathing while giving constant reassurance and encouragement. NiNi Bambini is pleased to work with a group of New Hampshire doulas who are passionate about pregnancy and birth.

Doulas assist couples in gathering information about their labor and the birthing options available to them. Their role is support. They do not project our own ideals or values on our clients or make decisions for them. Instead, they work together with partners, doctors, midwives and nurses as members of the birthing team.

NiNi Bambini can also recommend postpartum doulas. Postpartum doulas work with new families to help make their transition to parenthood easier. A postpartum doula supports a new mother with simple meal preparation and housekeeping chores, baby care and breastfeeding help.
